Obedience is a reflection of trust, and trust is built step by step. When God asks us to obey in the small, seemingly insignificant areas of life, He’s preparing us for the greater opportunities, responsibilities, and blessings He has ahead. The small things may not always make sense to us, but they are often the tests that reveal the condition of our hearts and our willingness to surrender fully to His will.
The Bible says in Luke 16:10, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” God uses the little things to see if we are ready for the weight of bigger things. If we can’t follow His voice when He asks us to forgive someone, give to someone in need, or step out in faith on a minor task, how can we handle His instructions for life-changing missions or deeper blessings?
Remember Naaman in 2 Kings 5? He almost missed his healing because God’s instruction seemed too small and simple—just dip in the Jordan River. It was only when he obeyed that he experienced God’s miraculous power.
So today, ask yourself: What small thing is God asking me to do? Whether it’s forgiving someone, giving your time to serve, spending more time in prayer, or just trusting Him in the waiting, those small steps of obedience open the door to the greater things He has prepared for you. Never underestimate the power of saying “Yes, Lord” in the little moments.
I love you all❤️
